It is said that ''It is not happy people who are thankful; It is thankful people who are happy''.

An attitude of gratitude means making it a habit to express thankfulness and appreciation in all parts of your life, on a regular basis, for both the big and small things alike. "If you concentrate on what you have, you'll always have more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you'll never have enough."

We should wake up every day and express to ourself what we are grateful for. We should acknowledge ourselves for what we have done and accomplished in the last day/week/month/year. Instead of comparing yourself to others, give yourself credit for the big and small things you have been doing!

Every day won't be perfect, but focusing on what we are grateful for tends to wash away our feelings of anger and negativity. While being stressed and in a negative mood puts our bodies into fight-or-flight mode and limits our range of thoughts, making us less effective as problem solvers, positive emotions can improve productivity and inspire innovation. Having positive thoughts broadens your perspective and allows you to be more creative and curious.

Adopting a gratitude practice takes us out of the problem and towards a solution. It removes us from complaining mode and transforms us into a best-outcomes mindset. Thus, an attitude of gratitude will help all of us in inculcating or developing our cooperation, empathy and team work skills.

Thank You.
